Real estate wasn’t a career pivot for me — it was the dinner-table conversation. I grew up in a household where my mom was a real estate agent and my dad was a loan officer, so while other kids were trading baseball cards, I was absorbing open houses, rate sheets, and the rhythm of deals coming together. By the time I was old enough to invest, the question was never whether — it was how soon.

I studied finance at USC and went on to drive finance and strategy at top tech firms — but I never stopped buying real estate. I started with long-term rentals, then went deep into short-term rentals, building to a portfolio of 40+ Airbnb units at its peak. That journey included real wins and real failures — markets I misread, units that never penciled, lessons that only show up after the closing. That’s exactly why MRI looks the way it does: every calculator, market page, and checklist on this site exists because I needed it once and didn’t have it.

Today, I’m a licensed mortgage loan officer specializing in DSCR and short-term-rental financing, and I’m passionate about one thing above all: helping people achieve financial freedom through real estate.

How the platform works

MRI is a market-data and lead-generation platform, not a lender or broker. All rates and projections on the site are illustrative; quotes come from independent, state-licensed loan officers.

Where the data comes from

The 10-year Treasury yield on the data dashboard refreshes from the treasury.gov daily yield-curve feed every six hours. The DSCR and STR leaderboards, market profiles, and vacation-market guides are metro-level estimates refreshed monthly, with the scoring formula and as-of date published on every page. Treat them as screening tools, not appraisals.
